The frame is made from high-quality Prolite 66 Triple Butted aluminium, resulting in an optimal stiffness-to-weight ratio and high durability. Advanced hydroforming techniques are used to shape the tubes specifically to withstand lateral forces at the bottom bracket and head tube. The proven P-FLEX suspension system makes clever use of the frame’s properties and reduces the number of pivot points, saving weight and significantly reducing maintenance. Thanks to Merida’s Wire Port cable routing, all brake and gear cables run neatly through the head tube and internally through the frame, resulting in a tidy cockpit and protection against dirt and moisture. Boost-standard thru-axles at the front and rear considerably increase wheel stiffness for direct power transfer and precise handling.
