Description

De TYRO 2.0 is ontwikkeld voor de fietser die op zoek is naar de ultieme balans tussen prijs en prestatie. Deze 45mm hoge carbon wielset is een echte "do-it-all" partner die zich net zo thuis voelt op strak asfalt als op lichte gravelpaden. Met zijn moderne looks en tubeless-ready velg is het de meest verstandige upgrade voor iedereen die van aluminium naar carbon wil overstappen. Oerdegelijk, snel en ontworpen om jarenlang intensief te gebruiken onder alle weersomstandigheden.

Technology

De TYRO 2.0 maakt gebruik van een bewezen DARC-profiel (Double Arc) dat de luchtweerstand effectief vermindert. De velg is geconstrueerd uit duurzaam carbon dat een hoge stijfheid biedt voor een directe krachtoverbrenging. Voorzien van het FFWD Ratchet naaf-systeem, gebaseerd op beproefde techniek die zorgt voor een betrouwbare werking en eenvoudig onderhoud zonder dat er speciaal gereedschap nodig is.

The TYRO stands for maximum versatility. Not only because these wheels are available in almost all possible variants, but especially because they can be used in all conditions and on any terrain.

In this price range, the TYRO offers something others don't: a hub with a ratchet system and the same build quality used for all our wheels, even the top models.

Thanks to its low weight, starting from just 1675 grams in total, the TYRO feels at home in both flatlands and high mountains. Optimized for high speeds with lateral stiffness for winning sprints and improving your PRs on every climb.

Some unique USPs we definitely want to highlight are:

  • The TYRO features a "Ratchet" hub instead of the "Pawl" system used by almost every other wheel brand in this price range. The Ratchet system ensures faster engagement, is more durable, and requires less maintenance. Built to last!
  • The TYRO wheels have exactly the same build quality as their larger (more expensive) siblings, the RAW and the RYOT.
  • The TYRO is entirely produced in-house by our skilled wheel builders, and every wheel receives a very careful check before it is shipped.

Modern tubeless-ready rims

The 45mm high carbon rims of the TYRO meet all modern requirements. The internal width of the rim is optimized for mounting tires up to 44mm, making the TYRO suitable for both road bikes and gravel bikes. That's what we mean by maximum versatility! Of course, the TYRO rims are tubeless ready, and the wheels are always delivered standard with tubeless tape mounted and tubeless valves.

FFWD hubs as a solid foundation

High-quality hubs with low rolling resistance and optimal durability. The TYRO is standardly equipped with our own FFWD hub, allowing you to enjoy stable and reliable quality at the best possible conditions. The advantage of these hubs is found inside. Just like the more expensive hubs, this one also has a ratchet system, giving you the benefits of faster engagement and less maintenance.

The FFWD hubs are standard compatible with 12mm thru-axles, but thanks to the conversion kits, they can be converted to a 15mm thru-axle or quick release skewers in no time. The hubs in the TYRO are only compatible with center lock disc brakes.
