Description

De FFWD DRIFT is vanaf de eerste schets ontworpen met één doel: de ultieme gravel-ervaring bieden. Dankzij de hookless velgtechnologie en een royale interne breedte van 24mm, biedt deze wielset een ongekende stabiliteit aan banden tot wel 60mm breed. Of je nu kiest voor de robuuste Control of de aerodynamische Pace, je bent verzekerd van een wielset die de zwaarste trillingen absorbeert en je de grip geeft die nodig is op technisch terrein. Handgebouwd in Nederland met oog voor elk detail, zodat jij je alleen op het pad voor je hoeft te concentreren.

Technology

De DRIFT-serie maakt gebruik van een specifiek carbon-laminaat dat extra slagvast is, essentieel voor opspattende stenen en ruw terrein. De hookless velgrand zorgt voor een lichtere velg en een sterkere velgrand, wat de overgang tussen band en velg optimaliseert voor een lagere rolweerstand. Voorzien van hoogwaardige DT Swiss naven met het gepatenteerde Ratchet-systeem, wat zorgt voor een directe aangrijping en maximale duurzaamheid, zelfs in modderige omstandigheden.

Fully optimized for gravel bikes

The DRIFT, as the name suggests, is the first FFWD wheelset specifically designed for gravel. The extra wide rims with an inner width of 24mm make it possible to mount tires from 30 to 60mm wide. And of course the DRIFT wheels are delivered completely tubeless ready.

Because wheels have to endure a lot during gravel rides, we have equipped the DRIFT with thicker spokes for more stability and durability. For this we have chosen the DT Aero Comp straight pull for the DRIFT, 24 pieces front and rear. Despite this, the total weight of the DRIFT wheelset is only 1515 grams.

Full carbon tubeless ready rims

With a medium rim profile of 36mm high, the DRIFT offers the perfect balance between stiffness and comfort with unparalleled driving behavior as a result. Do you want to dot all the i's? Then go for the ultimate experience of riding with tubeless tires. Minimal rolling resistance and a combination of optimal handling and protection at low tire pressure. With the DRIFT you are completely ready!

Another advantage of the DRIFT rims is the hookless construction. This makes the rim lighter and ensures a more efficient rounding of the tire, which results in even better handling and stability on the bike.

Make a splash with DRIFT decals in custom colors

The standard decals in glossy black look good on any bike. But imagine the DRIFT wheels with custom decals in the colors that perfectly match your bike. How cool is that! Especially for the DRIFT series we have custom decals available in no less than 17 colors that you can easily apply yourself .

Choice of high-end hubs

Hubs are without a doubt an essential part, maybe even the most essential part of high-end wheels. With the DRIFT you can choose our own FFWD hubs , these offer you a very solid and reliable base without compromising on quality and durability. Do you want to save extra weight in combination with higher precision and stiffness? Then the DT 240 hubs with the improved EXP ratchet system are probably the best choice!

The hubs are compatible with 12mm thru axles as standard, but thanks to the conversion kits they can be converted to a 15mm thru axle or quick release skewers in no time. Every type of hub in the DRIFT wheels is compatible with center lock brake rotors.
